DBSCAN (available in all XLSTAT solutions except Basic)
Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise is an unsupervised machine learning algorithm for classification problems, such as customer segmentation. We may apply it to sales data in order to detect similarities between customers and thus recommend the right products to specific customers. DBSCAN is an alternative method to K-means and Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering when data contain outliers or noise points.

Generalized Bradley-Terry model (available in XLSTAT Sensory and Premium)
Commonly used in sports analytics, sensometrics and marketing, this feature aims to model data obtained from pairwise comparisons. For example, we can use the Bradley-Terry model to predict the probability of winning or losing in a baseball league. The results of the plays are entered in the analysis and a model is obtained with probabilities of winning or losing for each team. The Balloon plot has been added for a better visualization of the outcome probabilities.

Pareto Chart (available in XLSTAT Quality and Premium)
This visualization tool, which combines both bars and a line graph, will help you detect the most frequent causes of a problem (e.g. interruptions in manufacturing assembly, customer complaints) and thus improve a process. It is often used in Root Cause Analysis. Several new options are available such as sorting and combining causes as well as changing the color of the bars when a specific cumulative % is reached.

Mixture Designs (available in XLSTAT Quality, Life Sciences and Premium)
Mixture designs are widely used to optimize formulations such as in the food industry. For instance, we can find the best combination of three ingredients to improve the flavor of a cookie. Our new user-friendly dialog box will let you generate your design more easily than ever. A new table has been added to the report sheet allowing you to define the optimization settings of the analysis or use the default software ones. Interactions between factors can be now taken into account to the model.
