Mood test (Median test)
The mood non parametric test allows to compare medians of k independent samples. Run it in Excel using the XLSTAT statistical software.
Proposed in 1950, the Mood test - also called median test - allows the median equality between k independent samples to be tested.
This test is based on a nonparametric procedure – thus not making any assumption on the distribution of the measurements- and can be considered as a special case of the Pearson Khi² test.
