Mathieu Leboulanger, Schneider Electric I have been looking for a statistics software with comprehensive functionalities to analyse time series and build models to predict our sales based on monthly macro indicators. Easy import/export from and to Excel was a must for me. The Excel addin solution of XLSTAT does much better than that. After 1 month evaluation, I'm purchasing a licence. Bravo!
Craig Alexander, PhD Student, Division of Archaeology, University of Cambridge As someone who has long used Excel for data storage and manipulation I welcome XLSTAT's excellent integration with Excel and the wide range of statistical functionality. The company has also been very responsive to requests and Thierry was kind enough to make a small change to the interface to give me access to a VCV matrix that I needed for a particular analysis. Overall I am delighted to have found XLSTAT and it has provided much of the analytical power for my PhD research.
John Petkov, University of South Australia While I have never been a fan of Excel for statistical analysis and have discouraged its use, XLSTAT takes things to a whole new level. The algorithms are robust and the ease of use is exceptionally easy. The help feature is also extensive and thorough. I have recommended this software to my colleagues and I would say that XLSTAT is my software of choice for many of my analyses. Thank you for an excellent product.
Paula Cullen I have been delighted with the program to date, and have found it easy to use, and of immense value to my data analysis. It is wonderful not to have to change data from one program to another to carry out analysis.
Hal MacFie Anne Hasted and I use XLSTAT for students to carry out exercises on our hands-on courses. Being inside Excel and with clearly defined dialogue boxes and a very good help system, we find that many attendees opt to buy a permanent license at the end of the course. The MX module has GPA, MFA, Penalty Analysis and Preference mapping and the output is clear, easy to explain and it is simple to paste into Powerpoint, so it is an essential part of our course and a very useful tool for a sensory and consumer scientist. I also use it myself for doing consultancy analyses!
Sarah M. Bharath, The University of the West Indies I have always had a difficult time with stats and statistical packages. This is the first time I have actually ENJOYED working with tutorials and making sense of data. This program has literally restored my interest in learning more and more statistical procedures and I have been telling all of my co-workers and fellow graduate students about it! Thanks!
William (Bill) Ratcliffe I wanted a stats pack that would work with excel and I chose XLSTAT since it was the best package around.
Dr. Roger Winkle I chose XLSTAT for its ease of use with Excel, the very good graphics output and the ability to easily edit the graphics for publication quality figures. As an MD researcher, I really liked the package with all of the medical stats options available at a price about 1/5th of STS.
William McNair , Comcast I decided to buy XLSTAT as I just needed a personal stats program that was comprehensive, not expensive and Excel-based. I chose XLSTAT as its Basic module contains a lot of neat stat stuff... and it FULLY integrates with Excel. In addition the modules are accessible to VBA macros and the output tables are predictable (easy to reference with Excel formulas for downstream calculations).
Mike Bendixen, Nova Southeastern University I was seeking an Excel stats add-in and I chose XLSTAT as it was the best stats Excel add-in available.
Gary Lustig, Geo Explore Before deciding on buying XLSTAT I tried several Excel add-in program demos. I chose XLSTAT as for me the key application was factor analysis. The software worked fairly well compared to previous software I used - 'Statistica' and also cost less.
Emanuele Leveroni, LLC I chose XLSTAT as it easy to use, well documented, and has an excellent excel integration. I recommended it to former colleagues at Fiat as I think it is a good product.
Michael Lapp, Memecon I was looking for Excel Plugins and checking different alternative before deciding on buying XLSTAT. I chose XLSTAT as it was the best opportunity.
Damien Pruneau, PepsiCo I compared XLSTAT to the software that were already in my company in terms of range of tests, ease-of-use and possibility of controlling details of the analysis as well as the ouptuts (tables and graphs) and decided to buy it. I chose XLSTAT as it is the most complete statistical software, especially for sensory analysis with the dedicated module.
Marianne Elliott, WSU Puyallup I chose XLSTAT as it is easier to use than SAS and doesn't require me to write code, and it can do a large number of statistical tests.
Leanie Louw, Distell I chose XLSTAT as it is cost effective and well adapted for sensory data. Also Excel interface is very useful, and there is a wide variety of statistical tools.
Vladimir Babenko, Institute of Cytology and Genetics I tried XLSTAT through several trial versions and I chose XLSTAT because it's just what I wanted. I have recommended XLSTAT to my colleagues as it is the closest solution to my environment (Life Science). I like the fact that XLSTAT uses Excel spreadsheet and offers good examples.
Jeff Aucott, Mining Exploration and Geosystem Associates – MEGA Before deciding on buying XLSTAT I checked about three statistics packages. I chose XLSTAT as it is Excel based, and has a good selection of programs for processing geochemical and mining data. I have recommended it to several mining companies as it is a good package especially for geologists using the software in decision making for mining and exploration.
James C. McGrath, Director of Research I found XLSTAT in 2007 while searching on the web. I was looking for a statistical add-in for Excel to integrate with our internal models we developed for hedge fund research and allocations. XLSTAT was a great discovery. It seemed like an easy choice as the software has a fair price, a rich feature set, is stable, and allows for API-based interactions. It is a great product that I have already recommended to acquaintances who do similar quantitative analysis in Excel.
