Addinsoft is a privately-owned company managed by Thierry Fahmy (PhD in Statistics). XLSTAT was introduced by Thierry in 1993. It was designed to help users gain time by eliminating the need for complicated and risky data transfers between applications that had been requisite for previous data analysis. Encouraged by the enthusiasm of early users, the XLSTAT team decided to make its product available on the Internet in 1996, where it has continued to evolve in response to customer needs and suggestions.

Since January 2006, Juergen Jaeger, a Data Mining expert with worldwide experience - former member of the IBM Data mining R&D team - coordinates the developments and the technological partnerships with third parties. Before joining Addinsoft, Juergen Jaeger worked with IBM, Logmetrix, Kalima and Pertinence.

Emmanuel Jakobowicz has been in charge of new strategic developments since January 2009. Emmanuel Jakobowicz holds an engineering diploma from EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland, and obtained a PhD in Statistics at the CNAM in Paris, France. With Emmanuel, Addinsoft has reinforced its efforts to promote new research in applied statistics and to making it available to everyone through a cutting-edge solution, XLSTAT.
